SharePoint Developer

Choice Logistics is seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team in the role of SharePoint Developer.

The SharePoint Application Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting applications, primarily using SharePoint for Choice Logistics. Duties include all features and functions provided as components of SharePoint as well as those that can be developed using SharePoint designer and also those that require custom C# programming. Visual Studio 2010. The position will also be responsible for in house, custom .NET applications (C#, SQL Server) as necessary.

Strong MOSS 2007 Software Development experience including design, development, and implementation of custom Web Parts, workflows, InfoPath and forms, and customization using SharePoint Designer is also essential to success in this role.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's in Computer Science or related discipline.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintenance and support of existing SharePoint portals and sites, primarily the Choice Logistics Corporate portal and those for our Clients and business partners
Leveraging and extending ‘out of the box’ SharePoint functionality to deliver solutions; performing hands on development of custom applications/web parts and design InfoPath forms to support complex workflows; designing, customizing and creating new templates
Responsible for management of change via an established change management process, including the definition and documentation of test cases for effective testing of new components
Coordinate all efforts with the Business Analyst team lending expertise in SharePoint best practices and bridging the gap between business and technical functionality
Adhere to departmental and company-wide standards and procedures while performing work

Skills/Experience Required:

3 – 5 years experience developing SharePoint applications using MS SQL Server and C#; 3 years of which should be focused on the analysis, administration, development, implementation, and support of large, complex, enterprise-level solutions
In-depth hands-on programming experience with the .NET Framework (C#, ASP), HTML,JavaScript (and variants), AJAX, and XML/XSL/XSD
SharePoint (MOSS 2007 required, MOSS 2010 - a plus)
SharePoint server side Object Model
Current Desktop and Server Windows operating environments
Proficient with Web Services
Proficient in SQL Server Administration
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with business users and the ability to quickly determine user requirements and associated business rules – thereby facilitating rapid development of business applications
Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of Logistics concepts is a plus
Knowledge of SSRS, SSIS, SSAS is a plus.
