Choice Logistics has been a pioneer and innovator in the field of time-critical delivery for nearly fifty years. The company was founded in 1964 as Choice Courier, delivering packages throughout New York City for accountants, lawyers, and other professional firms. As fax machines and electronic mail systems reduced the need for physical delivery of documents, Choice adapted to the market change and moved into the delivery of service parts for technology products.
Ed Katz, founder and visionary of Choice Logistics, created a culture for the company with his commitment to innovation, expansion and improvement. He moved Choice Courier into international overnight air delivery while continuing to grow its ground business. In 1990, Choice became the largest ground-based courier with the acquisition of Archer Courier. Choice Logistics was established as an independent operating division in 1994.
Today, Choice Logistics remains a privately-held company with a total focus on time-critical delivery of service parts and products. Michael Katz, CEO, continues the tradition of innovation and expansion with new services such as Global Trade Solutions and Transportation Management Services, while strategic stocking locations are added regularly throughout the world. Still, its growth in scope and reach is always driven in response to or in anticipation of client needs.
