Innovative Program Experiences Unprecedented Success in First Year
Inventory Asset Management Turns One
NEW YORK and MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Jan 26, 2005 – Industry leaders Choice Logistics and System Design Advantage (SDA) launched the Inventory Asset Management (IAM) program in January of 2004. IAM is a parts pooling program, whereby SDA-owned inventory is stocked in Choice Logistics locations across North America and is made available to IT service providers for local, same-day service requirements. This month marks the program’s first anniversary, validating its leading edge business model for the IT service logistics industry. Over the past year, IAM has expanded its appeal and adoption by major service organizations by offering an immediate impact to lowering inventory levels and increasing parts availability.
“The IAM program immediately impacted our bottom line and gave us a unique opportunity to advance our services by improving cash flow and decreasing costs,” said Lee Micks, director of major accounts operations for BancTec. “We can attribute a significant portion of our growth over the last year to IAM -- an indicator that this model is working successfully. Overall, IAM gives BancTec a competitive edge in the enterprise service marketplace.”
