Worldwide Business Research Recognizes Former Choice Logistics Executive Rob Kass For Industry Influence, Vision and Accomplishments

New York, June 13, 2006 – In a touching memorial celebration this morning, Worldwide Business Research honored late supply chain industry visionary Rob Kass for his influence and significant contributions to the improvement and implementation of several supply chain technologies and recognized practices.

Rob graduated from MIT and launched a career to pioneer what is now known as sophisticated aftermarket supply chain solutions. Rob was extremely analytic and capable of relating complex concepts in a simple, straightforward manner. He was a manager with strategic vision and guided others to form a cohesive team, aggressively meeting the challenges set forth. It was this personal approach that made him such a respected and successful executive for more than thirty years.

“Most importantly, Rob treated everyone equally, with respect and integrity,” said Mike Parisi, director of logistics for Akibia. “It didn't matter what position you held in the company, Rob was all about ‘the person.’ He openly shared his thoughts and was happy for others to leverage his experiences to better their own situations. I personally learned a lot from Rob and work to carry these teachings in my every day life.”

“His dedication to his company and the industry is immeasurable. He was very effective in delivering quality service while ensuring his own team was totally dedicated and focused on the customer, while having fun doing it,” said Mike Landry, founder and CTO for Servigistics. “Everything he stood for was to deliver the best possible service, staying engaged with the customer to hear first hand what their requirements were and what he and his team could do to assist.”

Most recently, Rob served for over eight years as president and COO for Choice Logistics and achieved success far beyond the balance sheet.

While Rob’s credentials are impressive on their own, they are not the reason he was recognized today. The memorial celebration was planned to honor a friend who skillfully applied his broad knowledge and vast experience, offering extraordinary results as a master of logistics.
