Dane ChoppDane Chopp is Senior Manager, Vendor Management Operations, in the U.S. and Canada Service Supply Chain Delivery organization at Cisco Systems, Inc. Based out of Cisco's second-largest campus in Research Triangle Park, NC, he is responsible for managing third-party logistics (including freight, warehousing, compliance, etc.), OEM relationships, and third-party maintenance including on-site services, field engineering and VISE - the organization's Virtual Internetworking Support Engineering call center team. In the U.S. and Canada, Cisco's Service Supply Chain Delivery organization is responsible for approximately 46% of Cisco's global finished goods inventory and delivers an average of over 30,000 parts per month at various service delivery levels.
When he joined Cisco eight years ago, Dane brought with him leadership expertise from his work in the complex environment of Circuit City, where he was a district manager for operations. A graduate of Indiana University, Dane also holds a master's certificate in Project Management from George Washington University and is pursuing his Master of Professional Studies in Supply Chain Management degree at Pennsylvania State University.
Mark DoaneMark has worked in the service industry for over 30 years with vast experience in the depot, field and the corporate service environment. His experience also includes call center management, service parts supply chain management, strategic service planning, new product service development, business process re-engineering, and service systems development.
He is currently the Business Support and Logistics Manager for Pitney Bowes with responsibility for service support and logistics functions. Prior to joining Pitney Bowes, Mark held a variety of different service management positions at Sony Electronics and LG Electronics including Director of Customer Service.
Mark attended DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago where he received an Electronics Degree.
Grant GordonGrant Gordon leads BearingPoint’s Supply Chain and Operational Excellence Practice for the High Tech, Aerospace, Automotive, and CPG/Retail Industry Segments in North America, which designs and delivers Operations, Service, and Supply Chain
transformation programs. Grant has led multi-million dollar strategy, cost reduction, systems implementation, and organizational design initiatives for Cisco, Apple, SanDisk, Sun and DHL/Exel. He also serves on BearingPoint’s Cross Functional Supply Chain Steering Committee representing both BearingPoint’s Silicon Valley Office and as the Managing Director leading Supply Chain Activities for the High Tech, Aerospace, Automotive, and CPG/Retail Sectors.
Grant graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and the University of Phoenix with a Master of Arts, Organizational Management, with concentrations in Strategic Planning, Organizational design, and Managerial and Organizational Behavior. Grant also holds an APICS Certification and is an active sponsor and participant at various service industry forums.
John Peterson
As Vice President Logistics of Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), John Peterson is responsible for the day to day operations of logistics for the Americas and Asia Pacific. He also leads HDS’ initiatives to improve the distribution network for product and spare parts and directs strategic logistics programs, plans, and objectives with customers, partners, and the factory. Operation of specially designed custom distribution centers make it possible for HDS to ship custom configured hardware and software solutions to customers.
Nigel Weston
Nigel Weston is the Global Logistics Director for Elekta and is passionate about the sustainable commercial advantages to be gained by providing quality performance and high levels of customer service. Based out of the UK, Nigel is responsible for managing the global third-party logistics platform, supplier relationships, and global finished goods and Spares inventory.
Nigel recently joined Elekta from Cap Gemini, one of the world's leading supply chain consultants, where he worked as a Management Consultant within their Supply Chain practice. In recent years, Nigel has worked extensively in the area of service innovation and delivery of customer focused initiatives within several blue chip companies, specializing in the design and delivery of tailored tactical growth and development programs to enable sustainable competitive advantage.
Bob WrightBob Wright brings a breadth of experience to his position as Global Logistics Director for the Security and Detection Division (SDS) of L3 Communications, with a total of over 20 years managing logistics service spares operations. At L3, Bob is responsible for the stock level planning,
strategic deployment, end of life management and inventory integrity for spare parts required to support the global customer base with an array of SLA requirements.
Prior to joining L3 SDS, Bob spent 5 years at France Telecom as Head of Global Logistics, with similar responsibilities to those he manages for L3 today. He also worked with Chrysler and Danka Business Systems in the logistics service spares support arena.
Bob holds his degrees in Logistics from Trinity University and is a Certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
Dick ZarskiDick Zarski has been with Fujitsu for over twenty years and has over 25 years experience in high technology industries, bringing a strong mix of new product launch, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics management, quality and service parts logistics experience to his role as Vice President Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Logistics for Fujitsu Transaction Solutions (FTXS). He brings a wealth of industry knowledge and management experience to his role at Fujitsu.
Dick’s newest focus area is on Managed Services PARTS logistics quality: he is responsible for ISO 9001:2000 certification for FTXS which has received numerous best practice nominations by external auditors over the past 5 years. This dedication to quality aligns well with his commitment to operational excellence for Fujitsu’s customers. Operationally, he has successfully implemented a new Reverse Logistics program for Fuitjsu North American operating companies to process repairable parts for FTXS. Dick is also Co-Chairman of the Fujitsu North American Logistics Committee charged with streamlining North American logistics practices within the United States and the world, which has resulted in significant savings to Fujitsu.
Prior to joining Fujitsu, Dick held operations management positions in various manufacturing and distribution companies. He also worked as a consultant in the Automotive industry: his efforts led to radical changes in the way car manufacturers today plan for and manage their order to delivery process. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Distribution Management from Syracuse University and resides in Southern California.
