Position Overview
The Solutions Engineer will proactively identify and drive global service supply chain best practices, process efficiencies and cost containment for new and existing clients. With technical and analytical expertise of global market mission critical logistics delivery, this individual will enable the company to expand its services to existing clients while exploring new opportunities with prospective customers. The individual will translate prospect or client needs and satisfy with existing processes or work with internal departments to develop new solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as a company liaison with prospect & existing clients, assist in developing and implementing mission critical logistics strategies and solutions
- Provides leadership and guidance to clients in the assessment of goals and strategies, in order optimize service delivery performance across their program
- Develops mission critical logistics solutions to generate new business opportunities as well as to increase opportunities with existing customers
- Identifies and defines requirements of clients and prospects. Initiates and designs solutions that impact Choice Logistics business. Ensures design and technology are compatible for integration
- Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop logistic program activities from conceptual stage through life-cycle of supply chain
- Monitors all milestones, internal and external, making certain all teams are reaching milestones together and not proceeding until all groups are ready.
- Provide technical, strategic and operational support to the account management team in a pre and post sales role
- Develops, presents and maintains master Project Plan, for client implementation, to both client and operations.
- Provides milestone monitoring and escalation per instructions. Communicates and escalates issues and concerns to or from the client or operations on topics that impact the Go Live date.
- Coordinates development and implementation of load up schedule and method.
- Communicates directions and updates with Client, Account Management Team, Executive and Operational Support Management, as well as all other respective/appropriate teams.

Qualifications:
- Advanced working knowledge of internal operations, global logistics and transportation industry
- Must be able to work well independently, be an exceptional problem solver and think outside the box for creative and active resolutions to any problem
- Must be organized, creative, independent and self-motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, detail oriented, flexible in scheduling and prioritization, and driven by excellence
- Must possess a solid understanding of principles and key drivers of both Client satisfaction and operation expense
- Demonstrated ability to understand broad issues and capitalize on market conditions impacting customers’ service strategy, along with strong knowledge of the marketplace
- Proven innovative problem-solving abilities and decision making skills required, in addition to project management, prioritization, and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced MS Office skills
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related area of study or equivalent business experience
- 5+ years Account / Client Management, Consulting, or Project Leadership experience required
- Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding operational objectives
- Exceptional leader with a passion and dedication for mentoring and coaching account
- Project management experience
