Position Overview
The TMS Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the TMS System business rules, rates, carrier invoice exceptions, and OTP coding for ZOTP and Carrier OTP.
Job Responsibilities
- Calculate dead weight vs. actual weight of shipments
- Monitor billing file on a weekly basis to investigate discrepancies and/or compare invoices to the rate card
- Vetting of client business rule requests
- Liaising with IT and Client Services to deactivate/activate business rules on request
- Obtain sign off on TMS routing changes from IT when it is tested in a test environment
- Investigate TMS routing queries and fails, researching the rating engine and citing specific reasoning
- Create and present KPI data for QBRs ad monthly KPIs
- Presenting lane performance to local Field Service Managers for improvement/alternative carriers
- Liaising with local Field Service Managers to maintain up to date and accurate regional and global carrier maintenance fields within Choice’s proprietary ERP
- Navigate and maintain proprietary ERP to assure accuracy and current information is accessible
- Lead efforts to identify and implement continuous improvement processes that result in lower operational costs
- Support implementation manager during onboarding of new clients
- Examination utilization of current rates
- Utilizing internal systems to manage, update and track rates
- Execute all system maintenance with regards to rates
- Generate rate templates for special projects, RFP’s and client specific requests
- Liaison between TMS Manager, Field Services Team, Client Team and Carrier community.
Skills/Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel
