Position Overview
The Director of Strategic Partnerships, Americas is responsible for executing the company’s regional partnership strategy to expand market reach, enhance service capabilities, and drive long-term growth in the Americas region. This role leads the end-to-end lifecycle of strategic partnerships, including identification, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding of strategic partners. The Director defines and executes contract negotiation strategies with a focus on risk mitigation, compliance, and value creation. The position works cross-functionally with key stakeholders throughout Choice and reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Partnerships team in developing and executing partner strategies across warehousing, transportation and global trade services that support cost efficiency, service quality, and operational alignment in the Americas.
- Oversee the end-to-end partner lifecycle including NDA execution, sourcing, operational qualification, pricing and contract negotiation, service activation, contract renewals, etc.
- Define and execute contract negotiation strategies with a focus on risk mitigation, compliance, operational efficiency and value creation.
- Responsible for financial planning and performance of partners in region with goal of cost optimization.
- Analyze partner performance metrics and market trends to provide actionable insights for the region that maximize value and efficiency of the logistics ecosystem for Choice and its clients
- Collaborate with Operations team to monitor partner KPIs and continuously improve partner performance.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
- Optimize existing processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness
- Cultivate talent with an effort to upskill staff and support professional advancement
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and executing successful partnerships.
- Experience working in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
- Adept at navigating through complex and demanding situations while acting with integrity.
- Experience in strategic planning, execution, and developing qualitative and quantitative business cases
- Ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous business environment.
- Ability to facilitate group meetings as well as the ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Forward thinking, self-motivating and highly adaptive leader who integrates strategy, performance and risk management with initiatives aimed at achieving significant financial improvements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Ability to travel 30% of the time.
