Position Overview
The Senior Billing Analyst is responsible for supporting billing/AR and AP activities related to vendor management and issues resolution. The Senior Billing Analyst will partner closely with internal teams, such as Corporate Accounting, Operations, Order Management, and FP&A to ensure all billing processes and procedures are completely timely and accurately.
Job Responsibilities
- Support weekly billing activities, which involves preparing and reviewing weekly transactional data for accuracy.
- Provide oversight and management of billing teams.
- Lead responses for information requests from vendors and finance team members related to time and cost entries, billing reconciliations, outstanding receivables and cash receipts
- Engage with Corporate Accounting to prepare and distribute invoices to clients as needed, as well as assist in resolving client invoice inquires and escalations.
- Monitor and validate incoming vendor invoices and associated supporting documentation against system data and contractual terms.
- Maintain consistent and regular communication with billing stakeholders related to aged balances, both billed and unbilled.
- Participate in and manage the process of vendor exits.
- Lead vendor issue resolution, coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to identify cause of the issue and propose solutions
- Review and reconcile data within the proprietary billing verification system, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage and resolve escalations in the billing verification system in partnership with team members to ensure timely issue resolution.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years’ in a high volume billing related role
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and effective communication skills (both oral and written)
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, including advanced features (pivot tables, filters, lookups, macros, etc.)
- Self-directed with a strong work ethic; capable of working independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to occasionally work outside of established business hours and adjust personal schedule to meet deadlines is required
- Ability to lead teams and work with executive leadership
