Position Overview
The Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for overseeing commercial relationships, scope of service offerings, and compliance with Choice policies within the global partner network. This role leads a core function within the Strategic Partnerships team and reports to the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships. The Senior Manager leads contract negotiation, oversees the onboarding and implementation process, and seeks continuous improvement of partnerships and business processes. The individual also plays a key role in analyzing data and seeking business insights to inform partner network strategy. This role serves as the primary liaison across internal stakeholders to ensure partner relationships meet client needs and adhere to operational, financial, and legal standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead Strategic Partnerships team in developing and executing partner strategies that support cost efficiency, service quality, and operational alignment across global markets.
- Oversee and project manage the end-to-end partner lifecycle including NDA execution, operational qualification, pricing and contract negotiation, implementation planning, system integration, etc.
- Lead contract negotiations and renewals with a focus on strategic alignment, margin improvement, and risk mitigation.
- Analyze data to identify and share meaningful insights and recommendations regarding the partner network to support internal stakeholders in decision-making and long-term planning.
- Participate in semi-annual financial planning process to serve as a guideline for partner financial performance.
- Ensure data integrity across Choice systems related to the partner network.
- Collaborate with Operations team (responsible for day-to-day operational execution) to understand compliance with Choice KPI’s and operational performance.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and communication with stakeholders across Strategic Partnerships, Finance, Legal, Client Services and Operations.
Skills/Qualifications
- S. in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement, vendor management, or strategic partnerships, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity
- Proven experience in contract negotiations and vendor management
- Proficient in procurement tools, contract lifecycle management, and data analytics platforms.
- Analytical mindset, with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic, global environment
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
