Position Overview

The Solutions Engineer will proactively identify and drive global service supply chain best practices, operational efficiencies, and cost optimization strategies for both new and existing clients. With technical and analytical expertise of mission critical global logistics delivery, this individual will enable the company to expand its services to existing clients while identifying opportunities with prospective customers.  The individual will translate customer requirements into actionable solutions by collaborating cross-functionally and driving the development and implementation of new services.

Job Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and prospect or existing clients through development, validation, and approval phases to implement end-to-end logistics strategies and solutions.
  • Develop complete lifecycle logistics solutions that can facilitate new business opportunities as well as increase opportunities with existing customers, while leveraging the frameworks of Choice systems and processes.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to validate requirements and provide strategic guidance in the assessment of their goals and strategies, while engaging with cross-functional teams throughout implementation to develop, validate and refine business solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive design documents, process workflows, diagrams, and proposal presentations throughout the lifecycle of a new implementation.
  • Perform analysis of client data including volume, geography, and exception characteristics to right-fit pricing models and operational planning.
  • Provide strategic, operational, and technical guidance to legal, finance, and all operations teams in support of contract management and execution.
  • Maintain close partnerships with Sales and Client Services teams to ensure alignment on program development and client expectations
  • Demonstrate executive presence with Choice leadership by presenting business cases, securing approvals, and resolving escalations.
  • Leverage Choice workflows and utilize established company processes.
  • Pursue excellence and drive continuous improvement by gathering internal and external feedback to improve planning, communication, development, and execution of the solutioning process.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, operations management, or related discipline
  • 5+ years Solution Engineering / Pre-Sales, Client Management, Process Management, or Project Leadership experience required
  • Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding operational objectives
  • Industry experience is a plus
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity, with ability to effectively communicate and influence solution direction audiences across all internal and client organizational levels
  • Comfortable managing through ambiguity, strategic agility & diversity and driving for results
  • PMP certification preferred
