Position Overview
The Director of Strategic Sourcing and Partnerships-Americas is responsible for developing and expanding Choice Logistics' network of strategic warehousing, transportation, and logistics partners throughout the Americas. This role serves as a market-facing leader who leverages an established industry network to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard high-performing vendor partners that enhance Choice's service capabilities and geographic coverage.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in the logistics and warehousing industry, a proven track record of building strategic vendor relationships, and exceptional commercial negotiation skills. This individual will be responsible for securing favorable commercial agreements, expanding Choice's partner ecosystem, and ensuring vendor capabilities align with the evolving needs of our clients.Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development and expansion of Choice’s strategic warehousing and logistics partner network throughout the Americas, identifying new partners that support growth, service excellence, and geographic coverage.
- Leverage an established network of warehouse operators, transportation providers, and logistics partners to rapidly identify and qualify high-quality service providers.
- Own the commercial relationship with strategic vendor partners, including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, onboarding, and ongoing performance management.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations with warehouse and logistics providers to secure competitive pricing, favorable service levels, operational flexibility, and long-term value.
- Develop and execute regional partner acquisition strategies that strengthen Choice’s service offerings and support client growth initiatives.
- Evaluate market capacity, pricing trends, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate risks within the partner network.
- Analyze partner performance metrics and market trends to provide actionable insights for the region that maximize value and efficiency of the logistics ecosystem for Choice and its clients.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to monitor partner KPIs and continuously improve partner performance.
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
- Optimize existing processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness
- Cultivate talent with an effort to upskill staff and support professional advancement
Skills/Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, strategic sourcing, vendor management, business development, or supply chain partnerships.
- Demonstrated success developing and managing a network of warehousing and logistics service providers across North and Latin America.
- Existing relationships within the warehousing, 3PL, and logistics provider community strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of negotiating complex commercial agreements and delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
- Deep understanding of warehousing operations, transportation services, logistics pricing structures, and service-level agreements.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate business opportunities, develop sourcing strategies, and influence key stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented logistics or supply chain environment.
